Membership

All licensed, reputable, and ethical physicians in good standing with the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners whose principal place of residence or practice is in Baldwin County, Alabama, shall be eligible for membership in the Society, provided they hold a bona fide degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, are engaged in or retired from the lawful practice of medicine or osteopathy in Baldwin County, Alabama, and complete and submit a Membership Application.

How to Join

BCMS offers multiple membership options.

State and County Membership

Physicians who primarily practice in Baldwin County are encouraged to become full members of both BCMS and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. Full memberships are $600 annually, of which BCMS receives $150, and applications for full MASA/BCMS membership should be completed through the Medical Association of the State of Alabama (MASA) website.

Other Membership Options

Dual Membership

Physicians who are already members of Mobile Medical Society but who live and/or work part time in Baldwin County are eligible to join BCMS as Dual members.

Retired Physicians Membership

Although we encourage our members to participate in both the BCMS and MASA, members who prefer to join BCMS only are able to do so.

Medical Student/Resident Membership

BCMS is proud to support up and coming physicians in the Baldwin County area through a student/resident membership at no cost.

We encourage our members to consider supporting ALAPAC, the Alabama Medical Political Action Committee. You can learn more about ALAPAC here.
